Each Freehand takes its cues from the surrounding neighborhood, with spaces that are a microcosm of the best that each city has to offer.

Freehand LA is housed in the historic Commercial Exchange building, in downtown Los Angeles. It’s truly one-of-a-kind, featuring suites, premium hotel rooms and shared accommodations with interiors designed by Roman & Williams.

On the other hand Freehand NY is Located in Manhattan’s Flatiron District, in the former George Washington Hotel, once home to many storied writers, musicians and creatives. Designed also by Roman and Williams and featuring custom-commissioned artwork by Bard College students and alumni throughout, we’re revitalizing the artistic community in a historic NY neighborhood.

For the rooms of the Freehand LA Alarwool produced a very special type of flatweave carpet inspired in traditional sisal rugs. For its part in the Freehand NY the carpet construction chosen was a low all-loop Wilton carpet in a dark grey color that results perfect for the high traffic that suffers this hotel 365 days a year.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
